Casa Rex creates new branding and packaging for Baba in Hungary

Casa Rex, the multi-awarded international design consultancy with offices in Sao Paulo and London, has developed its first project for Unilever in Hungary by creating new packaging for the personal care brand, Baba. The project comprises the redesign of the shower gel, bath foams, lotions, hand cream and hand wash ranges.

In order to maximize appeal to consumers and to achieve a more unified product portfolio, the design consultancy reassessed Baba’s key visual elements and introduced new modern aesthetics to revitalize the brand, whilst still retaining its essence and ensuring it remains recognizable to consumers.

The new identity is dynamic, flexible and easily adaptable across Baba’s wide product portfolio, successfully replacing the previous old-fashioned look with one that has stronger contemporary appeal. “The iconic Baba circles are more lively and harmonious, creating a stronger and more innovative identity that is memorable on shelf and fully aligned with today’s personal care category.” says Gustavo Piqueira, head of Casa Rex and the creative director of the project, together with Danilo Helvadjian.
