Many hours of my childhood were devoted to building model airplanes. Each airplane I built began its journey on a toy store shelf, and I always held a certain admiration for its packaging. In honor of my childhood hobby, I designed a limited edition, vintage model airplane set called Voyage. Voyage consists of four themed models: Arlington Glider, Midtown Phantom, Shepherd Ave. Rocket, and The Future Flyer. The first three models are designed to represent the places I lived throughout my life, where the last model is designed to represent the unknown path of my future. The cardboard packaging is intended to mimic the cardboard boxes people use to transport their lives to new locations.

What’s Unique?
This project was made with precision cutting, using a laser cutter. Inspired by retro design, which gives this project a nostalgic feel of airplane kits from the past.
