Mr. Bones is a fictional brand of milkshakes. It is an experiment on how to apply illustration to packaging design and branding.

The original idea to create Mr. Bones, both brand and character, was to represent the playfulness of the flavours and the strength of the milk. This is why I decided to create a skeleton character as the brand’s mascot.

The main elements, the character, the brand, the flavours, the texts… are all hand-drawn. This is because the main target of the product are children, so the brand and the character should be attractive to them. Having this in mind, I used a “glow in the dark” ink to highlight all the graphic elements, to extend the life of the pack, and to make the customers keep it once the product is finished.

This project was made under the tutelage of Philip Stanton at BAU Design School Barcelona.

What’s Unique?
The use of “glow in the dark” ink in a milkshake brand.
