The package for this customizable sardine, whose form replicates Bordallo Pinheiro’s original – and iconic – decorative piece, uses illustrations (here applied to the instructions), subtle gold and silver highlights, discreet filigrees on the cover and sides, and a specific chromatic palette to evoke vintage Portuguese cans. The whole set allows the sardine’s white porcelain to shine through, maintaining each component’s individuality and appeal. Despite its retro look, the combo holds an unmistakably modern feel.
