Gem (보석) is a Korea based company which produces a variety of different fruit products. This specific packaging addresses their dried fruits series. From the get go we decided we wanted to use a vibrant pallet, then came the decision to add an individual pattern for each fruit. Since it was decided that the pattern will be part of the differentiating factors, it was a matter of deciding how we would go about it and how it would be connected to each one. The bold colours and a bold typographic pattern was the end result. The patterns derive from each fruit’s name. The three you see are Papaya, with its pattern forming “papa”, Anana – Pineapple, its pattern being “nana”, and lastly the dried Banana, which uses the typographic pattern “bana”.
