Earlier this year Mike Karolos was commissioned by the food brand Nature Organic to redesign their handcrafted organic chocolates. The first part of the brief was to bring color to the packaging. Their previous packaging was mostly in black & white and that was proven to be a problem in India’s market, as people there want colors. India after all is known to love colors. At the same time a little luxury feeling was also something that had to be considered, but created a little conflict, as usually luxury and colorful don’t really go together.

Kampa Ice Tea packaging design by Kollektiv

How do you make an honest “Ice Tea”? You just simply show the ingredients it is made of. We filled special water tank with water, ice and colourful fruits, as we got a desired composition we started taking delicious photos. After choosing our preferred photos we applied it to the Tetra Pak carton pack and added a logotype. With the simple idea we got a beautiful packaging thus emphasizing the natural ingredients of the product.

Gusdam is a healthy traditional food brand that using agricultural products Gangwon-do Pyeongchang-gun’s clean area’s that aging with modern technology. We interpret the concept based on “Blooming the nature’s taste” which is the pastes was aged with nature and time will add depth and double up the flavor to food. We used main ingredients, Korean traditional paste and pickle as a flower fully blooming shape, so that package can express the nature’s freshness and flavor directly. This “blooming concept” contains beautiful package identity to attract customers and could have differentiated competitiveness in the traditional food market.

Emboscada packaging design by Enserio

The forest serves as inspiration to create the name and the graphic image and it is also the supplier of the material to make both the liquor and the label. The wrapping has been made by hand by stamping a holm oak trunk on a silk paper. This way it becomes the tree cortex that covers the bottle and protects its precious contents.
