Inspired by the artist’s hometown of Cebu, Philippines, Hayahay Cebu Gin translates to ‘relaxed or bliss’ in Cebuano, much like what is felt when one sips leisurely on this strong but sweet gin. The label’s curved shape emphasizes the calm nature of ocean waves, the hues bring an aquatic take on the national colors of the Philippines and the logo resembles the palm trees that can be found on the white-sand beaches of the island of Cebu. The bottle mock up itself was created by the artist in a 3D rendering software and it mimics a ‘message in a bottle’, with the gin resting on a bed of woven cloth which is reminiscent to the texture found in many local products.
