Who is Lil’ Haven?
Founded in 2018, Lil’ Haven is a provider of high-quality, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) wood craft projects in the Philippines. Lil’ Haven understands how each products contributes to its customers’ well-being, which is why they aim to provide their customers with what they need in their customers’ wood crafting journey.

The Goal:
As Lil’ Haven continues to grow, so does its competition. Lil’ Haven wishes to differentiate itself from its competitors and build a brand for itself — a brand that stands outs and stays memorable to its customers.

The Challenge:
To create a fresh brand identity that stands out in the Philippine DIY woodcraft market, but at the same time feel familiar to its customers.

The Outcome:
A flexible brand identity that is unique to Lil’ Haven, encapsulating the brand’s DIY and creative aspects, and allowing it to stand out from its competitors.

Lil’ Haven really wanted to stand out from its competitors and own its brand. In the Philippines, all of the DIY Miniature Kit retailers get their supplies and product images from the same manufacturer. Lil’ Haven, a brand that is slowly expanding by creating its own exclusive DIY Miniature Kits, doesn’t want to appear the same as everyone else. The desire to stand out is what prompted my clients to start this project. Through the discovery call, we were able to identify the brand’s personality and overall design direction. We wanted to focus on being a fun, friendly and bold brand. Through the deliverables we also wanted to communicate the brand’s DIY, rustic and creative aspects. That’s how we decided on a bright, colorful and bold color palette, and a handmade and friendly logo and typography.

What’s Unique?
What makes this packaging different from its competitors is mostly really its use of bold and eye popping colors. The goal of this packaging is to first showcase Lil’ Haven’s identity in order to introduce it to its customers, and really give an independent image.
