Basegrill® Athens, the restaurant of the brothers Spyros and Vangelis Liakos, has become a reference point in Attica for its good meat and excellent hospitality. Premium quality meats are prepared, cut and properly cooked, arriving straight to the table.

The logo symbol is based on the initial letter of the business and its design is inspired by the classic grill. The weight of the typography has been chosen in order to create a symbolical link to the basic product of the company, the meat.

The design of the new Basegrill® Athens labels was inspired by the restaurants’ reopening after many months of lockdown, by the return to normalcy and our coming together.

The new series of labels is dedicated to a trilogy of wines from the ‘Alexiou’ vineyards. The aim was for the label to interact with the customer, to bring back memories and to suggest a playful and fun activity.

The bottle acquires thus another dimension, as, after the enjoyment of the wine, it becomes the “spin the bottle” of our childhood, a memory of a carefree time of friends and kisses, urging us, in defiance of the times, to feel the happiness of those times once again.

With this in mind, an indicator was designed, inspired by kitchen and winery utensils.  This indicator is placed on the front of the bottles to suggest the use of the bottle in order to strengthen the company brand name, as well as incite comments, discussions and the dissemination of the idea and the product by word of mouth.
