TOILE OCEAN NOTEBOOK

BORN FROM OCEAN PLASTIC — THE FIRST NOTEBOOK COVERED WITH PET-BOTTLES FROM THE SEA Winter & Company in partnership with #tide launched the very first book cloth woven from recycled ocean plastic.

Everywhere, the world’s oceans are threatened by plastic. To support clean-up solutions, Winter & Company partnered with #tide to develop a new cover material woven from plastic recovered from the ocean. #tide collects plastic waste from oceans. Back in Switzerland, the waste is turned into granules which are further processed into yarn. With Winter & Company’s knowledge of woven materials, they designed the new book cloth TOILE OCEAN. For every square metre of TOILE OCEAN, over five 0.5l PET bottles are recycled. What’s more: for every metre of TOILE OCEAN sold, 1% of the turnover goes to clean water projects.

A perfectly bound book has just become more than just a good story.
