Cotton Gin

This branding project includes a logo, monogram, packaging design, cocktail book, coaster, and cocktail glass. Cotton Gin was inspired by the industrial revolution and the prohibition that would soon follow.

The Industrial revolution opened a booming market for gin as the industrialized distilling process made gin the cheapest way to get drunk, which is what thousands of people who left the land to work in the new factories wanted to do. Unfortunately, as a result, gin had developed an unpopular reputation. By the mid 19th century, Prohibition movements had come up based on the opposition to gin.
