November 2012 marked the 70th birthday of Jimi Hendrix. To celebrate his legacy, Dunlop Manufacturing partnered with Authentic Hendrix and released a limited edition line of four Jimi Hendrix 70th Anniversary Tribute Series effects, each crucial to Jimi’s signal chain: the Jimi Hendrix™ Fuzz Face, the Octavio, the Univibe, and the Jimi Hendrix™ Signature Cry Baby.

The packaging design is a bold re-interpretation of John Van Hamersveld’s famous Hendrix poster illustration. By marrying Warholian Pop Art serialization, bold typography, and vibrating colors Dunlop has created a striking end product that stays true to the Authentic Hendrix brand.

  1. these are awesome! I plan on celebrating his 70th anniversary with the release of People, Hell & Angels on March 5th. The album consists of 12 unreleased Jimi Hendrix songs- like Somewhere and Hear My Train A Comin. Any Hendrix fan will not want to miss out on this!
