The restyling project of the label and the packaging had the objective of restoring an image of the context that inspired the Sicilian oenological project of Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita, through a re-reading, contemporary, minimalist, Mediterranean, of the most renowned red wines of southern France and northern Italy.

About the wine:
In the early 50s, the passion for music, for travel and for the good food brought Giuseppe Tasca d’ Almerita some of the best wines in the world. Descendant of a family that already in the nineteenth century had been cited in the manuals of agriculture for innovative methods in the name of sustainability before its time, Count Giuseppe was convinced, as it seemed a crazy idea, that even the rural hinterland Sicily was possible to make a wine to compete with the great French red.

In a reference to the origins, it is aged in chestnut, in barrels of 350 liters. The result is a powerful wine, austere when young due to tannins conferred by chestnut, stylish and innovative.

It is a Sicilian gentleman, of few words, but of eloquence important when choosing the right time to express themselves. Were produced 7,964 bottles of Riserva del Conte 2010. With this wine collector, we want to pay tribute to the challenge that the Count Joseph poses sixty years ago: make a Sicilian wine that can compete with the leaders of world wine production.
