The Balmoral Añejo XO Lancero FT is a long slim cigar, which was introduced as a limited release with 1,250 boxes of 10 cigars. It is a new cigar model with a “flag tail”. Normally you have to cut a cigar (with a cutter) before you can smoke it, but this FT can be pulled from the cigar before smoking, so you don’t have to cut it.

We created a completely new wooden box design (so using natural materials to compliment another natural product; the cigar). Normally cigars are stacked on top of each other in boxes, but we wanted to compliment the long and slim cigar, by a very long and slim box model. So in this design the cigars are presented next to each other in one layer. This way the consumer immediately knows they can expect a different cigar model, before opening the box. We incorporated 2 easy excess compartments, on the inside to easily take out the cigars. Also all cigars are wrapped in cellophane for hygiene purposes.

The box is sealed with a highly decorated closing label, enriched with hot foil and embossing. This seal needs to be cut before you can open the box. Protected by the decorative lion, it forms a quality seal. When you open the box, the signature on a small cart of the person who approved the quality in the Dominican Republic, before closing and sealing the box. Next to this the outside labels are numbered by hand, to make it more exclusive and compliment the limited edition feel. Of course a special ring design was also created for each single cigar.
