The Duero River has inspired great poets and has watered the fertile banks of one of the most important appellations of origin on Spanish soil.
The design of this new label for Pata Negra is inspired by the Duero River and graphically represents the villages along the riverbanks in a section that extends from the east to the heart of the Ribera del Duero region. It is a tribute to the traveling poets who sang to the Duero and to the Kingdom of Castile. Verses inspired by two great literary poets, Antonio Machado and Gerardo Diego, grace the back label. Water and love fused on the banks of a majestic river.
Ribera del Duero wines have gained international recognition and fame. The Aza winery, the center of the appellation, is the cradle of some of the best wines in the area. Pata Negra, with its global projection, has conquered outstanding awards to become a brand that guarantees wines of excellent quality from the leading appellations of origin in Spain.
