Thanku is a glasses brand with more than 10 years on the market. It comes from a family business that has been passed down from generation to generation and after 10 years, they have decided to change the target audience, from being a traditional eyewear shop to focusing on young people.
The name comes from gratitude as aside from selling glasses, the brand is also designed to function as a community that disseminates culture with music, fashion and art events. In addition, 10% of its profits gained from selling frames go to social organisations in Peru .
What’s Unique?
Because The main idea for this project was to create a destructured and free brand that connects with young people instantaneously. Inspired by the 80s, with a lot of style in the way of combining of colours, using graphics, patterns, collages, a brand was created that portrays a professional image but at the same time is playful and irreverent. The materials and finishes were meticulously chosen to maintain a balance between the minimalistic and the risky.
