“Petricor” – the smell of earth after rain. Under such an inspiring name, the private winery “Schumrinka”, our long-time client, produces a series of wines from the slopes of the Semisam range (this is in the Anapa area). The name reminded us of the natural beauty and purity of nature. Hence white color and natural textures on labels. At first glance, it is not easy to guess what is depicted there – dry soil, images of the Earth from space or an abstract picture? In fact, these are the fragments of bark of old vines. Specially processed photos turn into avant-garde graphics: the eye simultaneously recognizes and does not recognize the image. For this reason, the look can not tear off the label, returning to it again and again.

Laconic black and white graphics are reflected by subtle accents at the bottom of the label (name of wine and year of harvest). They are made of metallic foil – red for red wines and silver for white ones. The trademark of the winery on the labels is also present, but it does not violate black and white harmony: it is reproduced by colorless relief embossing.
