Alchemia is the product of two women, Margeaux a motorcycle enthusiast, and perfumer and Lena, an ethical beekeeper and lecturer on the occult. Together they travel the world blending exotic botanicals with reclaimed beeswax to create beautiful helpful products that represent women experiencing menopause.
The concept was derived from the alchemic symbol for female which is the crescent moon and a series of mythical two-headed creatures representing the two states of discomfort and relaxation and are intertwined with the botanicals within the product.
The menopause is still a taboo subject shrouded in mystery. It can call into question your sense of identity, femaleness and worth all at a time when your body is experiencing a myriad of symptoms that take over your body without your control.
We’re calling out unglamorous menopause and designing products that empower, invigorate and aren’t to be taken too seriously! Your body has changed, that doesn’t mean you have.
