We all aspire to make our little ones homemade food every day but that isn’t always possible. As parents, we have a lot on our plates and there’s not always enough time in the day to do it all.
Keep It Real Baby are a start-up in the UK who make nutritious, clean, organic food for little people that is as close to homemade as you can get. They use the best organic fruit and veg from trusted suppliers and make fresh purees that are cold-pressed using HPP to retain all the nutrients. The end result is ready to eat food that parents can feed their little ones without guilt.
We were asked to help with their brand creation, identity and packaging design. The ideas needed to communicate their core values of: keep it honest, keep it playful, keep it inclusive and keep it inspiring. We wanted to create something that both adults and kids could instantly fall in love with and relate to, whilst also having a human, honest element to the design.
Our inspiration came from our favourite kids books. We handcrafted the lovely rich textures and paper-cut illustrations, which fitted perfectly with the idea of honest, playful food. The horizon is a nod towards the notion of ‘farm-to-table’ using the best quality ingredients. We then balanced all this with a very clean and modern brand identity and a strong colour coding system for maximum shelf impact.
