The True Honey Co. Rare Harvest
Given their drive for excellence and their dedication to finding the most pure and pristine of Mānuka tree forests in the country, it’s only fitting that The True Honey Co. should harvest the highest ever Mānuka honey to ever be recorded. Certified at an unprecedented 1,700+ MGO (31+UMF), this single source, limited edition honey sits at the head of the table when it comes to luxury wellness.
The Mānuka tree is notoriously fickle when it blooms, needing just the right combination of sunshine, warmth, gentle breeze and rainfall. Given New Zealand’s equally fickle climate, you’d expect a perfect harvest to be a rare event. Inspired by this Mānuka bloom, we worked with Think Packaging to design a box that gives new life the now iconic protective ‘wedge’ packaging of the core range. Hand crafted by master book binders, each ‘petal’ magnetically locks together to offer an unrivalled ‘unboxing’ experience, also serving as a display unit for the precious honey jar and bespoke honey drizzler. The jar is completed by a hand-turned lid made from sustainably sourced heart rimu.
The box is closed tight with a highly finished, textured paper wrap with the Rare Harvest story retold by Kate Philips at Citizen, and sealed with a hand signed tamper proof sticker.
