The station master of Alanno, a small town located on the hills of Abruzzo, used to be a real jack of all trades: he was in charge of selling tickets, operating and supervising the passage of trains, as well as the opening and closing procedure of railroad crossings.

All these apparently insignificant, yet recurring and essential actions to perform have given life to a saying that is actually famous throughout the region: “You’re acting like the station master of Alanno”. This phrase is addressed to people engaged in several activities at the same time, people who like to do everything by themselves.

By launching this project, our intention was to pay a tribute to the station master of Alanno and celebrate an entire territory, that obstinate industry and that sincere helpfulness which have marked our imagination for generations.
