Ally’s, the one-stop roastery and coffee house, located in the south of India. Ally’s came to me with the task to formulate a unique visual system for the packaging of their two new flavors so that it stands out amongst its prominent competitors. They wanted their brand to make the wonder of specialty coffee accessible to everyone. The two distinct flavors they introduced are the ‘Balinese Blend’ and the ‘Mexican Blend’. These particular flavors stand out from the rest because the organic coffee beans are grown in their homelands to bring a sense of authenticity. The ‘Balinese Blend’ is said to have a rich aroma with a smoky wood flavor because of its mineral rich volcanic soil and the ‘Mexican Blend’ has a light body with a gentle sweetness and an acidic snap to finish off the experience.

The main elements of the packaging are based on the visual representation of where the coffee beans were grown. The green density of the trees and vines in Bali and the crimson sunset over Chichen Itza in Mexico were the main inspiration of the unconventional illustrations on the packaging. The concept and design are faithful to the Balinese and Mexican style, with its simplicity and a minimalistic yet vibrant color palette.
