Roz w gazr
Logo & Brand

Roz w Gazr is a restaurant in Saudi Arabia that serves Bukhari, a popular meal in KSA consisting of rice and chicken. the choice of the name at the beginning was “Zabib w Gazr ” (carrots and raisins) as they are two primary components of Bukhari. However, we settled in the end on “Roz w Gazr” because of the impact of the sentence on hearing and ease of memorization, especially for non-Arabic-speaking expatriates.

For the logo, I discussed with the client that we should design the logo to be a wordmark to identify it and be memorable, so it was shaped in the  classic style of Arabic Script (Riq’a- رقعة), which is one of the traditional Arabic fonts,
As for the colors, they are inspired by the colors in the meal itself and the additional items.
