Movember is a charity foundation that holds an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues. With a key emphasis of the event being to encourage open conversations about men’s health, it created a perfect match when one of New Zealand’s biggest biscuit brands, Griffin’s, decided to lend their support to this event through their Chit Chat biscuits range.
We were tasked with designing some unique limited edition packaging to be released annually alongside the Movember event. The Movember packaging is covered in bright, quirky illustrations that encourage the importance of ‘growing a mo and chatting with a bro’ in a relaxed and humorous way. The fresh blue anchors the illustrations, adding to the light-hearted feel and also acts as a disruptive, eye-catching colour in the chocolate biscuit category. Alongside the packaging we also created a poster campaign using the brand name in a playful and clever way to bring the overall idea of communication to life – ‘If you’re feeling a little bit CHIT, call a bro for a CHAT.’
