The story about the brand: A young parent from Malaysia Pandamaran New Village in the early years of 1989 wanted to nurture their five children so they could survive in the challenging world. They opened a stall in front of their house beneath a big tree to sell seafood barbecue dishes with their homemade seafood grilled sambal, and that’s how the name Da Shu Xia came.

The design of the packaging label was inspired by the story of the brand and how fresh the ingredients are in the grilled seafood sambal since their village is right beside the ocean. The colour scheme of the label has a nostalgic sense to it which represents the brand’s recipe that is being passed down from generation to generation and how still people enjoy the grilled seafood sambal after many years.
