One day, a our team member told the team her story about how she pierced a huge soap bubble during a visit to the Wrocław (Poland) market square, which street artists had set up. Behind her was a boy who wanted to do the same thing. Seeing his disappointed face made her very sad. The story was told before we started working on Make a Mark 2022 packaging concept. After several days of brainstorming and thousands of ideas later, the story with the soap bubble came back. Could this bubble be preserved forever so it can always make the boy smile? Indeed, we wanted to fill the bubble with the scent of happiness and release it whenever they needed it.

Proust’s (In Search of Lost Time) quote is a good summary of its history. “The places we have known do not belong only to the world of space on which we map them for our own convenience. They were only a thin slice, held between the contiguous impressions that composed our life at that time; the memory of a particular image is but regret for a particular moment; and houses, roads, avenues are as fugitive, alas, as the years”.

All of the associations related to happiness, childhood memories, safety, and carefree led to the name. VIVANÉ combines the words ‘viva’ meaning cheer, and ‘né’ meaning born. Our vision calls this “praise for life”.
