For the package design project, I chose the three logos from the seven deadly sins project that were most similar in line weight as well as which sins, I associated most with food and the feelings associated with food. After selecting the three logos I felt would be best for a food brand I then decided what kind of food products were associated with sin and edible marijuana products came to mind. I also wanted the products to be vegan, gluten free, as well as allergy free to allow consumers to have healthier options.

The targeted audience for Deadly Strains products is cannabis users twenty-one and older who use cannabis for recreational and medical purpose. These products can be used for various reasons depending on the consumers desired experience. The Sloth Indica Blackberry Gummies allow for a more relaxing high and can be used to aid sleep which is why they are named after the deadly sin sloth. The Gluttony Sativa Chocolate Clusters allow the user to experience a more energized and happier high and compared to the Sloth gummies. The sativa chocolate clusters give the consumer the energy to indulge in the opportunities life presents. If the user is looking for a euphoric body high the Strawberry Hybrid THC Syrup allows for an experience that will keep the consumer happy and feeling good. With the variety of strains these edible marijuana products are perfect for cannabis users who are looking for different ways to experience cannabis.

For developing the package designs for each product, I wanted the deadly sins logo to be the main focal point of each design. Each of the deadly sins chosen for the products is centered on their designated package in the colors that corelate with each sin and the text included on the package consists of the colors within the logos. To allow for each of the logos to stand out on the package designs I designed my products to have simplistic and clean look. I also used the simplistic and clean look to appeal to older consumers because the customer base is twenty-one and older and many of the edible marijuana products on the market are poorly designed and difficult to read. I also researched the regulations for marijuana product labels and what must be included on all marijuana products. Information regarding consumption while pregnant, the legal age of consumption, the product being made in a marijuana facility, nutrition facts, allergens, and serving size is all information that is included on the packaging. Dispensaries must also include a batch sticker as well as stickers that include the amount of THC and other components within the product.

After gathering all the information, ingredients, and design work I compiled all the components together to create a simplistic edible marijuana brand based on the seven deadly sins.  The simplicity of the design creates a brand that feels inviting to the consumer and is easily readable due cohesive designs and the overarching theme.
