Concepts for a coffee branding project – with a huge amount of competition in this market, it was important to create a vibrant and memorable branding solution. I utilized vibrant colors and friendly, appealing illustrations. As the range expands and changes, different pouch colors will be introduced.
The brand not only sells coffee but also offers virtual and in-person tastings of its products and monthly coffee subscriptions.
The illustrations were inspired by the small-scale farmers, source countries (Guatemala, Peru, Uganda, Vietnam, etc), and iconic industry tools of the trade. Environmental issues are hugely important and actively explored by the owners, so this was also woven throughout the illustrations. I also wanted to include the background and personality of the brand owners and the location, Brooklyn, being a big part of the branding, and include the Brooklyn Bridge illustration in their logo and within the illustrated patterns. I also wanted to highlight the immigrant-owned company’s AAPI heritage.
