Cigarettes have the largest and most stable consumer base in China, with millions of young people taking up smoking every year. My idea is to have a form that discourages smoking. I want to design an ingenious illustration package. Only by not smoking can the Peking Opera pattern be preserved, so as to dissuade consumers from smoking. And the vanishing image of smoking can also awaken Chinese consumers to the fact that our Chinese Peking Opera culture is disappearing.
Curator’s Insight: We find this idea very creative and meaningful. The contrast between the harmful effects of smoking and the cultural value of Peking Opera is striking and thought-provoking. The package design is clever and eye-catching, using the traditional colors and patterns of Peking Opera to attract attention and convey a message. The concept of preserving the Peking Opera image by not smoking is a powerful incentive for consumers to quit or reduce their smoking habit.
