AbsoRice Protein Powder

Absorice protein powder is an existing product of a Hungarian brand, a complete plant-based source of protein: a mixture of rice and dried peas protein which contains all the necessary amino acids, essential for the body. It is a vegan product, lactose-free, gluten-free, and has low sugar content,  (0,93g in 100 g product) therefore it can be consumed by those having a different food intolerance. The protein powder is available in several flavours: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, salt caramel, just a few to mention.

Protein powders are typically sold in larger packets and multi-packs, 500-100 grams are usually packed in a huge plastic bag. If we think about it, it does not look like an inviting product on the shop shelves. With my design, I was looking for a solution, where the appropriate quantity of protein powder, enough for a few days, can be put inside a smaller and attractive packet so that anyone can easily take a 30-gramm-portion without measuring it to places like the gym. I had the intention not to use the colour brown typical for vegan protein products, in order to offer the ‘I am entitled to the white classic packing’ feeling to those suffering from food intolerance and those who are simply health conscious. I replaced plastic with paper. The box was made with a folding technique, with a multitude of triangles, which represent the energy generated by sports. Dynamic packaging means energetic consumer.

Pictograms and colour codes indicating the flavour as well as the written information about the flavour help us choose the right product. 10 pieces of 30 gram portion each go into the boxes. The colour and the pictogram of the closing sticker on the packet indicate the flavour of the protein powder we buy. By removing the closing sticker we have easy access to the portion we need.
