Really Italian Viola Mozzarella: Packaging Design Development for a New Category in the Company’s Brand Portfolio
The Viola brand is evolving and aiming for new categories: the release of brined cheeses will expand the target audience by attracting new consumers.
We proposed a very bold and quite laconic solution for the new line: we used red background color – one of the colors of the Italian flag and as a dominant, the design stands out brightly in a competitive environment. Appetizing food zones look very modern, they attract the eye and seem to invite the consumer to try the new product. The large cheese name is easy to read, the Italian descriptors are designed to emphasize the product’s compliance with the quality and taste of traditional mozzarella.
All these steps will allow consumers to quickly navigate and find cheeses on the supermarket shelf, because packaging in the cheese category is one of the key means of communication with the consumer.
We have developed a design concept for two positions: 1 large ball and 15 small ones.
