Mon Kooloor is a youthful, urban café that reimagines the traditional Greek koulouri with a modern, vibrant twist. Tasked with giving it a youthful and urban identity, we began by embracing the product’s round, sesame-coated form and transforming it into a symbol. The logo uses playful emoji-like-characters to blend tradition with youthful energy.
The packaging tells a story with every product, featuring the whimsical, animated characters along with the basic shape – the circle- inviting customers to emotionally connect with their koulouri. In designing the store, we balanced traditional materials like wood with bold, expressive visuals, creating a welcoming space where the rush of the city meets the warmth of comfort food.
The logo, packaging and store evoke a lively and bold aesthetic that appeals to both younger audiences and the young at heart. We even have our own motto: “Ney to Globalisation, yey to Pastryzation.”
