Project: Shizu / Tea Beverage Series Packaging Design
Service: Packaging Design
——
As a new series of products in the sugar-free tea section of Shizu convenience stores, we conducted in-depth discussions with the product development team based on market trends, consumer insights and terminal sales scenarios in the early stages of design. It was determined that the product packaging would adopt a half-pack form, with the upper part showing the product characteristics and the lower part showing the tea soup color, so that consumers can quickly identify the “category-product”, allowing the product to better stand out from similar products and increase the probability of being chosen by consumers.
However, while choosing a half-pack, it also faces a relatively limited design space. So how to make the most effective product value output in a limited layout becomes a difficult point.
In order to solve this problem, we chose to highlight the product name in the central area in the form of color blocks + calligraphy, and use color blocks to form information classification. The background shows the product’s auxiliary selling points, with “100% original leaf extraction, 0 sugar, 0 calories, 0 preservatives, tea polyphenols content ≥ 400mg” to enhance the sense of value while bringing a sense of culture. It forms visual differentiation with similar products at the packaging level, showing the brand’s thinking and value exploration on product development.
In order to increase the standout of the product at the terminal, we specially use extra-thick white ink, which can effectively avoid the bottom see-through caused by insufficient padding, making the packaging more textured.
