The combination of HP Indigo technologies with Bufalo Gin’s essence gave life to marvelous special edition bottles, through which the physical and digital worlds meet to create a multi-sensory experience on a journey across the Agro Pontino: the liquor’s birthplace that inspired the history, personality and soul of the brand.
The project, that takes up the challenge set out by the ‘Phygital’ theme of the contest, on the one hand enhances the uniqueness of the bottles through the printing of remarkable labels, with a refined and surprising design; whilst, on the other hand it enriches the customer’s experience, triggering (through a QR code on the label) a journey in the virtual space of the website, which welcomes and accompanies the customer to discover the Agro Pontino territory.
Both experiences – physical and digital – activate immersive storytelling to enhance brand identity and let each user experience the magic of the product in a completely new way.
THE PHYSICAL MEDIUM
HP Mosaic to create unrepeatable backgrounds, different for each bottle. HP Indigo Electroink Invisible to create hidden messages and graphical elements on the label, only visible by using UV light, so as to reveal unprecedented content both physically and digitally. Variable data printing to enhance the uniqueness of each bottle.
THE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
In a crescendo of emotions, the journey into the Bufalo world reaches its climax with a digital strategy that fires the imagination. A website – dedicated to the pre-sales phase – offers a preview of the limited edition gin bottles.
Users can thus immerse themselves in ‘Bufalo World’, an interactive video game-like experience that blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy.
Inside this digital space that celebrates and narrates the Agro Pontino, users become explorers ready to discover the territory and the initiatives linked to the sale of the special edition bottles.
Like a living organism, Bufalo World breathes and transforms with the alternation of day and night.
