Sanditon Golden Rum Volume 1 is the latest launch from The Surrey Copper Distillery and with packaging design by Nude Brand Creation. Sanditon, the last novel written by Jane Austen, continues the literary theme for the distillery. In the book, one of the main characters travelled from her home in the Caribbean to the south of England to find a home for a wealthy family. The rums for this first volume of Sanditon Rum have also travelled from the Caribbean to the south of England to find a new home.

The packaging design draws upon the nautical themes of the rums story, but combined with the literacy styling, has a distinctive and unique feel. With a distressed finish the vintage style refers back to antique books and the Jane Austen era.

On the reverse on the label is an illustration of the journey being made from the Caribbean to the south of England, only to be discovered when the bottle is turned and revealed through the golden liquid. The packaging is finished with a bookmark and a golden stopper.

The new design follows the styling and architecture established by the previous releases from The Surrey Copper Distillery, but with an independent feel for this new golden rum.

Sanditon Rum Volume 1 is a Premium Matured Golden Rum created by blending two carefully selected Caribbean rums, a 3 year old from Barbados and a 2 year old from the Dominican Republic. Aromas of vanilla give way to fruit cake notes and a spiced warmth on the palate. It is the first release of rum from the distillery, with more to follow.
