PLAY MEETS PREPARED: PREMIUM FIRST AID BRAND WELLY, FROM METHOD AND OLLY CO-CREATOR
With an Eye to Millennials and Gen-X’ers, Welly’s Bold Designs and Playful Packaging are Disrupting First Aid, Available Now at Target and Target.comWelly has launched a new line of premium bandages and first aid products nestled in beautiful tins, available exclusively in Target stores and Target.com. Welly’s elevated materials, bright aesthetics and philosophy that bumps and scrapes are to be celebrated, never hidden, are reinvigorating the first aid category.
Welly was created by Eric Ryan, the serial entrepreneur behind eco-friendly household brand Method and nutrition brand Olly, known for his innate ability to reimagine everyday necessities, and Doug Stukenborg, a former retail merchandising executive. Blending function with fun, Welly is on a mission to turn bandages into badges of honor for those who invest in their daily passions.
“When we looked at first aid options, we saw a hugely stagnant category with products that were either geared towards children or meant to blend in, hidden in a way,” said Ryan, Welly co-Founder. “Healthcare and self-care are such important components to your overall lifestyle, and we wanted to apply that thinking to this everyday necessity. Cuts and scrapes are often a result of getting out into the world, exploring, and living to the fullest – that should always be celebrated.”
Welly worked with industrial design firm Prime Studio and branding agency Partners & Spade (who previously developed Harry’s together) to design 25 beautiful items spanning bandages, first aid tools, and ointments. Welly products come in stackable, recyclable and neatly organized tins and are produced in a range of prints, patterns and color palettes.
Welly encourages play by enabling preparedness, ensuring cuts and scrapes never slow down the pursuit of life’s everyday adventures, big and small. Welly, for life fully lived.
