Fresh on the block and determined to make waves, Jarrod is bringing old school techniques and European flair to the VIC wine scene.
Having recently returned from Provence, France, where he worked under a highly regarded winemaker and viticulturalist, Jarrod is looking to showcase Victoria through the lens of lesser-known varieties, made using a minimalist approach.
Based in the city streets of Melbourne, Jarrod’s winery sources fruit from various regions in Victoria, including the Pyrenees, Heathcote, Sunbury, and the Macedon Ranges.
With an unconventional background and no winemaking lineage, Jarrod’s methods are unembellished and old-school. Almost everything is done by hand, ensuring that each release tells a story and conveys the elegance of the great landscapes and growers from which these grapes come.
Before his journey to France, Jarrod was a suit-wearing, freshly shaven, number crunching slugger on Wall Street. While these days are not quite behind him, grape growing and winemaking provide him balance and the ability to design a life that is both fulfilling and nourishing – the label on the bottle is a reflection of this concept.
