Herdade de Gâmbia

A BIRD AND WINE SANCTUARY

Located in a landscape of rare beauty, Herdade de Gâmbia is a true ornithological sanctuary. At the heart of the Sado Estuary’s Nature Reserve, this is where several bird species nest, repose and hibernate.

From among them we chose the Stilt (Himantopus himantopus), the Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus), the Heron (Ardea cinerea), and the Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) as ambassadors of these red, white, rosé and moscatel wines. Each bird’s long and elegant features are faithfully represented in the illustrations we created for these labels, in a strong and original style. In this work we combined these birds’ graceful physiognomy with the shades of each wine, producing a bold range that is worth collecting.
