Trinca Bolotas

INEVITABLY BRIGHT, TYPICALLY ALENTEJO

For Herdade do Peso’s new wine, which pays tribute to the black pig, we idealised a simple and direct communication, through a label that would live up to the strong appeal of its name: Trinca Bolotas (which means acorn biter).

Bred in forests of cork trees and Holm oaks, this animal enlivens the Alentejo landscape and enriches the region’s gastronomic heritage. Strong and extremely intelligent, the black pig is an icon of this rustic and intense region, filled with character and tradition. Focused on conveying these values, we created a familiar and captivating image, enhanced by the intense orange colour, a symbol of joy and prosperity.
