Area Design & Think for Duck Island

Founded by chefs and ice cream enthusiasts, Duck Island has been hand-crafting small batch ice cream since 2015. Never one to shy away from outside-of-the-box ideas, Duck Island is a brand that puts its own twist on things, whether playing with flavours or innovative packaging solutions.

When expanding its range to include epicurean ice cream cakes, the Duck Island team wanted to not only use but improve the classic cake box, turning to Think Packaging to devise a bespoke box concept that is travel-ready, user-friendly and celebration-worthy.

Using a food grade 250gsm duplex board, finished with a matte-laminate outer and food-safe matte-oil inner, Porter helped to bring this unique design to life.
