Limited-edition packaging design for Ardbeg’s BizarreBQ brand world.
Weird though it may seem, barbeques and whisky have much in common — smoke, wood, fire and flavour. And of course, both are better shared with friends. So, when the brand team at Ardbeg cooked up the exciting BizarreBQ brand world they approached Studio Taktile to create a design that would encapsulate ‘grilling meets distilling’ in a weird and wonderful way. We found a weirdly wonderful — and wonderfully weird — design solution that was perfect for the brief. The distinctive 1930s cartoon style had a strong, slightly dark humour and the labels were given extra design depth with gold foiling and tactile varnish.
