Salvadore’s Dreams is a concept for a series of gin, metaphorized as an altered state of consciousness. Consciousness can change both during the creative process, sleep, and under the influence of gin, all this was combined in the idea when creating a series of labels and the name.
The basis of the packaging design is the paintings of the bold and brilliant representative of surrealism Salvador Dali combined with the word “gin” and passed through a modern view of neural networks. These generations became the basis of Salvador’s kaleidoscope of dreams.
The paintings used for their generations were “The Disintegration of Memory Permanence,” “Galatea with Spheres,” “The Temptation of St. Anthony,” and “A Dream Caused by the Flight of a bee around a pomegranate, a second before waking up.” Artificial intelligence has worked hard and four types of gin have emerged:
- London dry gin – classic
- Blackberry
- Genever, a cocktail gin
- Old Tom – sweetened gin
I wanted to make the name in a unique font created specifically for this series of gin, conveying the fantasy, dreamy nature of the concept.
The very shape of the bottle contains a drop from Salvador’s work, compressed in the center, from a simple shape, the bottle becomes unique. The light and the design of the label refract through it, creating a sense of dynamism, depth, dreams and reverie.
The phrase “bottled surrealism” is stamped on the rim of the cap, another reference to Salvador, he liked to sip a little gin too.
Curator’s Insight
The fusion of Salvador Dali’s surreal paintings with modern neural networks is like the past meeting the future. This blend results in a kaleidoscope of dreams that showcases the timelessness of Dali’s art while embracing the cutting-edge technology of today.
