The House Of The Russian Tea Party

The HOUSE OF THE RUSSIAN TEA PARTY  it’s natural sweets telling about the traditional tastes of the garden city of Suzdal.

Someone brings magnets and postcards from their travels, while someone else brings endless stories and lots of photos. The House of Russian Tea Drinking (DRCH) provides travelers of all ages with a collection of memorable experiences that will extend the joy of their trip, warm them up with memories, and tell their loved ones more than mere words.

My task was to create a new confectionery brand for the city of Suzdal, Russia. When designing the packaging, we were inspired by the Fortnum & Mason brand and tried to convey its atmosphere, while also moving away from some of their ideas about what elements should be included on the package to attract customers’ attention.

An additional task was to develop a packaging design for the celebration of the millennium of the city of Suzdal (year of foundation 1024). Highlighting the illustration on the packaging with silhouettes of churches that are located in the city.
