As the moon reaches its fullest in the middle of the Eighth month, family members gather around the table to enjoy the autumn scenery, rekindling the traditional values of harmony, piety, and sharing in their hearts. Binding the modern mooncake baking craft of Cái Lò Nướng with traditional values, the concept “Essence of Vietnamese tradition” (Tinh hoa truyền thống Việt) honors the distinctive beauty of Vietnamese artisan villages in a new approach.
Seeking to bring out the festive atmosphere of Mid-Autumn, we draw inspiration from the products of renowned artisan villages, namely Bat Trang ceramics, Doi Tam drums, Chuong leaf hats, and Phu Binh lanterns. The artisans are captured in the middle of their creation process—glazing, painting, weaving, framing—and drawn in a simplistic style emulating a multi-layered papercut composition.
The design displays a colorful and dreamy world, inviting a sense of wonder and the simple joy of observing ways of living that exist before you yet never fail to surprise. All are realized with sophisticated printing technique such as gold foiling, papercut layering to deliver a superior Mid Autumn gifting experience.
