Aranyak, a semi-autobiographical novel composed between 1937-1939 and published in 1939, is a Bengali-language novel by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay based on his years in northern Bihar, mainly in the districts of Purnea and Bhagalpur. Plot:– Satyacharan is a young graduate of 1920s Calcutta, who, unable to find a job in the city, takes up the post of a ‘manager’ of a vast tract of forested land in neighbouring Bihar.

As I love to read novels I wanted to design a timeless cover that reflects the story’s mood.
