Proposal
The client requested using elements of traditional Damascene Qeshani art and transforming them into illustrations suitable for printing with a modern and minimalist style while preserving the essence and identity of the original art.
Solution
After an in-depth study of the elements of Qeshani art, the most significant components of this traditional art form were carefully identified and redesigned in a simplified, modern style. These elements can be used individually or combined to create artistic compositions inspired by the elegance and authenticity of Qeshani art, offering versatility for various creative applications.
interior design
The project also requested drawing inspiration from unique elements within the café to incorporate into the visual identity. These include the lemon and olive trees, the Qeshani fountain—recognized as the largest handmade fountain in the world adorned with Qeshani art—the traditional Damascene wooden staircase, the Damascene arch, wooden doors, traditional wooden chairs commonly found in local cafés, and square-patterned tiled floors.
Versatile Designs with a Unified Identity
Designing responsive and versatile visuals was a crucial step to ensure adaptability across a wide range of materials. This approach allowed for seamless application while preserving the integrity and consistency of the core identity, ensuring that the brand’s essence remained recognizable and cohesive regardless of the medium.
