AOP Corbières FONTFROIDE

🔵 In 1908, Gustave and Madeleine Fayet became the proud owners of the ABBAYE DE FONTFROIDE, which had been abandoned for several years. They kicked off a massive restoration project. The abbey quickly turned into a hotspot for artistic and intellectual gatherings: by 1911, regulars included, alongside Odile Redon, the painter and musician Richard Burgsthal, who teamed up with Gustave Fayet to design all the stained glass windows of the abbey church. The detail from the stained glass window located in the south transept inspired the design for the AOP Corbières range from the abbey.
