“Bánh in Bộ Ngũ” is a Vietnamese brand created with the goal of reimagining and elevating the traditional print cake — a confection closely tied to Vietnamese ritual and cultural heritage. Through a modern and cohesive visual identity system, the brand aims to offer a fresh aesthetic experience that resonates with younger generations while preserving the spirit of national culture. Each cake is not just a delicacy, but a cultural symbol connecting people with the spiritual values of their ancestors.
Inspired by the Five Elements philosophy (Ngũ Hành), the brand introduces a set of five cakes, each representing one of the elements by its core color:
- Metal (Kim) –Coconut,
- Wood (Mộc) –Mung Bean
- Water (Thủy) –Black Sesame
- Fire (Hỏa) –Red Bean
- Earth (Thổ) – Durian
Each element is further embodied by symbolic imagery that reflects its core essence:
- Kim Xuyến Xà
- Tùng Bách Mộc
- Lưu Thủy Ngư
- Lư Trung Hỏa
- Ngọc Điêu Thổ
