Disadvantages of the Old Box Design:

• No real product images, reducing appeal and clarity.
• Weak festive identity that failed to reflect Eid’s joyful and Islamic spirit.
• Lack of color variety, making all flavors look similar and less engaging.

Advantages of the New Box Design:

• Real images showcase the actual sweets enhances authenticity and appeal.
• Modern, colorful Islamic patterns reflect the festive spirit of Eid.
• Clear flavor differentiation through unique colors for each sweet.
• A bold visual identity combines tradition and modernity for a striking, festive look.

Structural & Food-Saving Pouch Design concept – Abdel Rahim Koueider, Eid El-Fitr occasion

A compact resealable pouch was designed for Eid mini sweets to offer practicality, portability, and preserve freshness. The smaller portion size helps reduce food waste and suits the needs of individuals and small families. The design is cost-effective, making the product more affordable and accessible to a wider audience, and modern, colorful Islamic patterns inspired by Egyptian art were used to reflect the festive spirit of Eid in a visually appealing way.

Disadvantages of the Old Structural Box Design
However, the traditional rigid box packaging presents several challenges:

• The traditional box is bulky and not convenient for carrying or gifting.
• It only offers large portions, which may cause overbuying and food waste.
• It lacks resealability, reducing the freshness of the sweets after opening.
• It’s more expensive and less sustainable due to its size and material use.
