Carreira de Coimbra, a design that travels through time by Marbra Design Studio

In the 19th century, the horse-drawn carriage that connected Cantanhede to Coimbra was known as “Carreira de Coimbra.”
The route passed through vineyards that, over time, came to bear the same name.
By the 20th century, with the construction of a new road, the bus that followed that same route kept the name, preserving the memory and the bond between the two cities.

This design project pays homage to that story and to the enduring spirit of connection it represents.

The label was created with a modern visual language, yet it carries a touch of nostalgia, a bridge between past and present, much like Carreira de Coimbra itself.
Graphic elements inspired by the old travel tickets were reinterpreted and woven into the design, serving as both a visual and symbolic detail.

The result is a label that blends memory and innovation, a visual tribute to a means of transport that connected generations and gave its name to a landscape.
